Breath. Body. Awareness.

What is breath therapy?

Breath therapy and breath training have always been an important part of many Eastern and Western healing modalities. Today, it is an accredited complementary therapeutic method in Switzerland and is well suited to accompany conventional medical treatment or promote well-being practiced on its own. It is process work aimed at being sustainable and can be applicable in everyday life.

Through various means you become more aware of your breath, body and mind and use its potential as a resource. Specific exercises help you to find the balance between activity and regeneration, to improve self-awareness and enable the healing process or maintain a comfortable body tone. Themes that arise during treatment can also be discussed in conversation to further help in personal growth.

This is resource-oriented work, in which the healthy parts and positive abilities are continuously integrated and strengthened. In this way, you can develop self-efficacy and self-confidence.

Breath therapy also helps to release tension so that the breath can deepen and flow freely. Conscious awareness of your individual breath’s movement can lead to inner peace, more ease and strength.

In our session, we are guided by your current needs. It is suitable for adults of all ages, as well as for both children and teens. Therapy can be in an individual or a group setting.

Holistic & Integrative

The holistic breath therapy approach looks at the human being on the levels of the body, the psyche, the social, the spiritual, space and time. Along with a western medical understanding of anatomy and physiology, we integrate concepts from eastern medicine, body movement and other related methods.

Health and wellness cannot be fully understood by studying sickness. We work with salutogenesis - a focus on personal resources, health promoting factors and well parts. This is the main idea behind the salutogenic model of health in contrast to the pathogenic view.

We also work with the autonomic nervous system, which regulates bodily functions and controls breathing, among many other things. The nervous system responds to physiological processes, external influences, movement, senses and feelings.

Breath works in and through all dimensions of life. It is the connection between body and mind, between inside and outside, the conscious and the subconscious. Your naturally flowing breath gives you clues.
